The Weight of Words

Bring me a pen.
Soak it in blood,
Through feelings, desperation.
Observe it, being detached
From our roles in life.
Steal it from a Muse.
Name it elation,
Necessity, salvation-
Offer your soul to it.
Live through pain to nurture it.
Sustain its divinity;
Diminish its distance
From your common strifes.
Elevate it to God,
To your inner being,
To the unknown
So deeply craved for.
Strip it off lies.
Raise it high,
Until your death,
Through reconciliation.
Ride on it.
Let it become the Christ,
Your cross, the portal.
Believe in it,
Until the lights cease.
Baptize your fears
In their negation.
Ascend, via it,
Onto your home,
Our celestial palace.
Bring me a pen...
Through words, guide us.
